Objectives of MODEX.EU
Goals
During the MODEX.EU exercises, participants will focus on self-sufficiency, communication, coordination, equipment and interoperability. Participants will practice preparedness and response capacity in their country’s registered module: high capacity pumping, water purification, advanced medical post, advanced medical post with surgery, medium and heavy urban search and rescue, CBRN detection and sampling and Technical Assistance & Support Teams.
Learning objectives
Participants will learn to:
1. accelerate response in major emergencies
2. verify compatibility of equipment
3. verify and improve procedures
4. look at interoperability and self-sufficiency issues
5. test cooperation between different modules/ TAST
Outcomes
By the end of the three-day exercise, participants will have increased their understanding of operational cooperation in civil protection assistance interventions. They will have met and interacted with actors from other participating countries involved in civil protection assistance interventions. They will have practised operating safely and securely in a complex, full-scale, high-stress simulation environment.
